The C.G. Jung Collection is being presented to the public for the first time. "In the Land of Imagination" shows artworks by Jung’s patients from 1916 to 1955. As a psychiatrist, Jung asked his patients to paint and draw pictures from their imagination. Series of images emerged in the “active imagination” as part of the therapeutic process. An exhibition in cooperation with the C.G. Jung Institute Zurich/Küsnacht on the occasion of the institute’s 70th anniversary, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Museum im Lagerhaus in 2018.

A parallel exhibition, "collection meets artist: inspired by Saï Kijima", compares the collection with the Basel-based Japanese artist’s own work. His personal selection of works from the museum’s collection enters into a direct dialogue with his own wide-ranging and diverse oeuvre. He creates delightfully graceful forms out of everyday things using colours, song, and movement.
