CATA's entry into the
2019 Raw Vision short film competition
This short film follows three artists with disabilities – David Gardner, Cathy Crofut, and Katrina Couture – who produce stunning works of art through Community Access to the Arts (CATA) programs.
For artists with significant physical disabilities who are not able to hold or manipulate a paintbrush, CATA provides one-on-one sessions using the adaptive painting technique known as Artistic Realization Technologies (A.R.T.).
This short film follows David, Cathy and Katrina as they unveil their creative process and create stunning works of art. Community Access to the Arts (CATA) is a non-profit organization based in Berkshire County, MA whose mission is to nurture and celebrate the creativity of people with disabilities through the arts.
Through dynamic arts workshops, exhibits and performances, CATA artists tap into their potential and share their talents with the wider community.
